Description: This delicate Georgian
Giardinetti brooch/pendant is
accented with rose cut diamonds, natural pearls as well as genuine rubies, sapphires and
emeralds. The setting is silver and yellow gold.
Giardinetti, garden in Italian, is a term
often used for jewelry which represents baskets of flowers.
During the 18th and 19th century, flowers were worn by
women, on their clothing and in their hair. Jewelers inspired by this
fashion, translated petal and stem into jeweled treasures, such as this one.
