Description:  A lovely Victorian pansy brooch set in vermeil (gold on silver.)  This brooch is lovely! I do not know if the "petals" are paste or amethyst.   To see other images of this item, please click here: photo1 and photo2 and photo3 and in this photo, you can see color shading or "inclusions" in the purple petals: photo4  I don't know if these indicate that the petals are amethyst or glass.
