Description: This 15kt. rose gold brooch/pendant
features two love birds, adorned with perfectly matched seed
pearls. Between the two love birds, are four natural
amethysts. To the Victorians, the amethyst symbolized
faithfulness, sincerity and when worn, would ensure the love of
one's husband.
Amethyst has long been the color of royalty and is encrusted in
the famed British Crown Jewels. Leonardo Da Vinci wrote
that amethyst was able to dissipate evil thoughts and quicken
the intelligence. This classic piece of Victorian
sentimental jewelry can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant.
