Description:  Victorian silver brooch decorated with seed pearls, garnets and two green cabochon tigers eye stones.    It is hard to see in the photo but the tigers eyes have very distinct "cat's eyes" across the top.

To the Victorians, the butterfly symbolized the soul and the arrow pointed out Cupid's intended target.

This brooch is a symbol that love had captured the givers soul.   A lovely romantic brooch, German or Austrian in origin, and marked "800" (for silver).
