Description: Magnificently carved hard stone (agate) portrait cameo. I purchased this from a private collection of mourning jewelry. I believe this is a mourning portrait cameo, commission to be carved upon the death of this beautiful young lady. Note the serene expression on her face. The setting is 18kt. rose gold and this can be worn as a pendant or as a brooch. Note the wonderful clasp and safety chain.
