Victorian cameo brooch, Aurora bringing the light of Dawn to earth

Dimensions:  1.5 inches by 2 inches

Condition: excellent, some stress lines (see photo) but no cracks.  The original c clasp was replaced with a ca. 1910 safety clasp.  The replacement clasp is not gold.

Description:  Signed Victorian shell cameo depicting Aurora, also known as Eos, bringing the light of Dawn to earth. This rare cameo carving is set in an English 15kt. gold frame. The cameo is signed on the back but I cannot make out the signature. Brooch has its original safety chain.
