Description:  Shell cameo carving of Loie Fuller, once one of the most famous dancers in the world.  Ms. Fuller became the personification of the Art Nouveau movement with her skillful way of manipulating voluminous folds of silk while having beams of light playing on them.   The cameo is set in a 18kt. yellow gold brooch/pendant setting and is part of a collection of Loie Fuller memorabilia that I purchased while in France.
Portrait of Loie Fuller, by Frederick Glasier, 1902.
