Condition: excellent; cameo is perfect with no cracks or crazing; the bottom section of the frame decoration is missing

Year:  1850-70

Description: Carving is very crisp and has fine detail.  The carving is of Hercules wearing the skin of the nemean lion, which he always wore to protect himself.   This is a very unusual cameo that is hard to find.  The frame is 15kt. gold.
