Dimensions: 18 inches long; star shaped rosettes, making up the bulk of the necklace, are approx. 1/4 inch wide (0.7cm)

Condition: excellent, safety chain is missing from clasp

Year: 1850-70

Description:  Victorian garnet necklace adorned with flat cut garnets.  Flat cut garnets are slightly earlier than rose cut garnets and are always in an open back setting to allow the light to reflect through the stone.  The setting is continental silver (800 or 835).
