Victorian turquoise ring with opening locket back

Dimensions: ring size is a 7.5, can be sized up or down; top is 1 cm or approx. 3/8 inch in diameter


Condition: excellent, the crystal on the top has some tiny scratches, which are visible only with a loupe; ring is all original, no damage or restoration

Year: 1840-60

Description: This 18kt. rose gold ring has a compartment on the back that opens!  This ring is lovely worn just as it is or you could but a wisp of a loved one's hair in it or a tiny flower petal.  (The Victorians used turquoise to symbolize remembrance.)  A wonderful gift of love and remembrance.
