Description: Georgian 18kt. yellow gold ring adorned with turquoise and pearls.  The turquoise are all a lovely, uniform color; lighter than depicted in the first 3 photos below.
This ring was most likely a token of love and affection.  Turquoise symbolized remembrance and pearls were a symbol of purity; with the ring symbolizing pure love that was to be thought of and remembered.  Under the domed crystal in the center is tightly woven hair, no doubt the hair of the lady's beloved.
This hair could be removed and the hair of your own loved one placed inside.
