Description:  English 9kt. rose gold ring with an carved intaglio cornelian.  The intaglio carving depicts a lion with an arrow.  The lion has long been a symbol of strength, protection and leadership in various cultures and religions. 
The lion (Leo) is the astrological symbol for people born between July 23-August 22. 
Richard I of England, was well known for his bravery which earned him the nickname "The Lionheart".
In the Christian religion, the lion has been used to symbolize Jesus and his majestic power.  In the Jewish religion,  the tribe of Judah ( the dominant tribe among the ancient Israelites and the legendary ancestor of the Kingdom of Judah)  used the lion as their symbol.
