Description: Rare, one of a kind, French 18kt. rose
gold fob. The fob is double sided and swivels.
One on side is a miniature on ivory depicting two birds
connected by a ribbon. One bird (representing the soul) is
ascending into heaven while the other one remains behind,
resting in the middle of a broken Cyprus or willow tree.
The miniature is comprised of hair and sepia paint.
Written in French around the miniature
"The further we are apart, the closer we are together."
On the back of the fob are blonde and dark brown hair, entwined,
just as the couple were in life. Note that the top of the
fob is shaped like an draped obelisk. The workmanship on
