Georgian enamel mourning brooch

Condition: near mint; very minor wear on white enamel rim

Description: Unique Georgian enamel mourning brooch of superb quality. 
The front of the brooch depicts a gold willow tree weeping over a gold and enamel urn.  In the center of the urn, is a "framed" gold window which contains blonde plaited hair.  Note the lovely chase work on the frame surrounding the hairwork.   The brooch is high karat gold.
