Description:  Fine Georgian mourning ring depicting a young lady grieving at the tomb of her father or husband.  The 18kt. rose gold ring commemorates the death of "William Eatwell ob 8 Feb 1780 ae 95". During a time when old age was considered to be 40, this Georgian gentleman lived a remarkably long life!
The mourning miniature was created from hair and sepia paint applied to ivory.  Surrounding the mourning miniature is a chased rose gold rim which makes the stark mourning miniature stand out.

The image on this ring is very crisp and clear.
