Condition: good; some dust under the crystal and there is some tiny dents on the back of the brooch. Brooch is much better looking than the photos depict.

Description: "They will reign again in glory."
This rare, one of a kind mourning brooch commemorates the
death of a husband and wife. Note the two setting suns
in the background; symbolizing the husband and wife.
The sepia/hairwork miniature depicts Hope, leaning against an
anchor (symbolizing faith) while pointing to the burial plinth
and the setting suns. The inscription on the back reads,
"Mary Hale ob 27 May 1777" and Ralph Hale ob 4
Nov 1781 ae 89."
