Miniature Victorian micro-mosaic frame

Dimensions: each miniature frame is approximately 1 and 1/3 by 1 and 1/2 inches.  Entire piece is 2 inches by 3.25 inches

Condition: excellent, no missing tesserae; each frame still retains its original glass

Year: 1860-80

Description:  This gorgeous antique Italian micro mosaic or micromosaic picture frame was someone's treasured keepsake of their Grand Tour.  This lovely double frame is brass inlaid with micro-mosaic.  At the top is a three leaf clover (even the black stem is micro-mosaic) and the two miniature frames are decorated with daisies.
