Description:  Georgian portrait miniature on ivory depicting the profile of a lady with a blue dress.  She is slightly smiling and her hair curls drape down over her shoulders.  Her skin is pale with faint pink highlights.  The setting has pierce work on all four sides and is 18kt. yellow gold with a slight rose tint.  The back contains a piece of purple fabric covered by a piece glass with a beveled edge.  This continental European miniature is most likely Austrian.  To see other images of this item, please click here: photo1 and a photo of the back
