Item: Exquisite memorial picture with artist label

Condition: excellent; original artist label w/history on back; 

Year: 1830-50

Description: Incredible is the only word to describe the workmanship on this picture.  The hairwork is on glass.  Please take time to view this enlargement: hrtb.jpg  and note these details: 

a) the angels wings at the top of the tombstone

b) the columns going down the tomb stone

c) the 3-D effect....the flowers and leaves at the base of the tomb actually come out from the background.   

Here is the picture in its ebony wood frame:  hrtb1.jpg and here is the wonderful label:  hrtb2.jpg it is so rare to have a label outlining the history of the artist who created this piece.  I have NEVER had a label as complete as this one.
