Condition: excellent to near mint, note two of the brass medallions are missing from the bottom corners of the frame.  Hair work is perfect. 

Year: 1830-50

Description: This is a superb and very unusual picture.  The hair work is on ivory and the ivory is tinted a very dark blue/black.  To make this piece even more striking,  the artist used blonde and light brown hair.  Please take time to view these photo: 1890.jpg
