Description:  This is a very rare piece of sepia memorial jewelry.  Memorial jewelry almost never depicts a man grieving....it is always a woman.  Here, a man is grieving at a tomb made of ivory.  On the back is inscribed, "Sam'l Sampson ob. 11 Dec. 1788 at 62".  The setting is 9kt. rose gold and all original.
