Item:  Memorial ring commemorating death of 18 month old little girl

Dimensions: finger size is 9.5; top is approx. 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch

Condition: excellent; sepia image on top of ring is a bit pale but that is the way it was created.  

Year: dated 1780

Description: The image on this ring is very severe and stark.  It evokes a deep sense of loss when you look at it.  The top of this ring has pale blonde hair work on ivory and  depicts a memorial urn against a stark white background.  Around the shank of the white enamel ring is: "Sarah Bottomley ob 6 Nov 1780 ae 18 mos".  To see other photo: 6175a.jpg
